Welcome to CardBarn! The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to CardBarn, operated by Peter Verschueren, VAT BE0786446405, Kleineheidestraat 1, 3360 Bierbeek, Belgium. CardBarn operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). CardBarn is powered by Shopify.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our Services. By visiting, interacting with or purchasing from our store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use or access our Services.

SECTION 1 — ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are the age of majority in your country of residence. You are responsible for ensuring that your minor dependents do not use our Services without appropriate supervision.

To purchase from our store, you may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, email address, billing and shipping information. You warrant that all information provided is accurate, current and complete. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity on your account.

SECTION 2 — OUR PRODUCTS

We have made every effort to accurately represent our products, including condition, language, edition and rarity. Card conditions follow standard TCG grading conventions (Near Mint, Excellent, Good, Light Played, Played, Poor).

All product descriptions are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and may limit quantities available to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction.

Product images are provided for reference purposes only. The actual appearance of cards may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

SECTION 3 — ORDERS

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. CardBarn reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason, including but not limited to stock discrepancies or pricing errors. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us.

In the event that we cancel or modify an order, we will contact you via the email address provided and issue a full refund promptly.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers) In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Belgian consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason, provided the items are in their original, unused condition. To exercise this right, please contact us at info@cardbarn.com before returning any items. The cost of return shipping is borne by the buyer unless the return is due to an error on our part.

Sealed products that have been opened are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

SECTION 4 — PRICES AND BILLING

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of Belgian VAT (21%) where applicable. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before payment is confirmed.

For orders delivered outside the European Union, additional import duties, taxes or customs fees may apply in the destination country. These charges are not included in our prices and are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed, as confirmed in your order confirmation email.

SECTION 5 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation, from Bierbeek, Belgium. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. CardBarn is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control.

Once an order is handed to the carrier, risk of loss passes to the buyer. For full details on shipping zones, rates and carriers, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

For shipments outside the EU, customs declarations are required by law. Buyers are responsible for complying with all import regulations in their destination country.

SECTION 6 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on cardbarn.com, including text, images, logos, product descriptions and design, is the property of CardBarn or its respective rights holders and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or transmit any content without our prior written consent.

Card images displayed on product pages are the property of their respective publishers (Wizards of the Coast, The Pokémon Company, and others) and are used solely for product identification purposes.

SECTION 7 — THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS

Our Services may include tools or links provided by third parties (including payment providers, review platforms and shipping software). We do not control or endorse these third-party services and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. Your use of any third-party tool or service is at your own risk.

SECTION 8 — RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

CardBarn is powered by Shopify. Any sales and purchases made in our store are made directly with CardBarn. By using our Services, you acknowledge that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of transactions between you and CardBarn. You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims arising from your purchases with CardBarn.

SECTION 9 — PRIVACY

All personal data we collect is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable EU/Belgian data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 10 — PROHIBITED USES

You may use our Services for lawful purposes only. You may not:

  • Use our Services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to cancel orders where inaccuracies have occurred, with a full refund issued to the buyer.

SECTION 12 — DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Our Services and products are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Belgian and EU law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Belgian or EU law.

SECTION 13 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CardBarn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services or products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the order in question. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian or EU consumer law.

SECTION 14 — INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CardBarn, its affiliates, partners, employees and agents from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law.

SECTION 15 — FEEDBACK AND REVIEWS

By submitting reviews or feedback, you grant CardBarn a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and display such content for the purposes of operating and promoting our Services.

SECTION 16 — SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

SECTION 17 — GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms of Service are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
